Weve
known for some time that organizations are nothing
more than a series of interactions between people, yet we still
struggle with how to optimize those interactions. In this story
of a fictional solar power manufacturing company, Solon, we
see the plant manager, Vicki Guzman, try a simpler approach
to engaging everyone at the plant in moving the business
forward. Join her as she challenges the people at her plant to
rethink what kind of impact they can have.
This
short business fable nicely captures the dilemmas of a small companys
growth challenges. The strategies the leader in the book employs
to help the staff collaborate and engage more effectively become
the teaching lessons of the book. There are good lessons here
for all organizational leaders. ~ John Abele, Founder Boston
Scientific/Owner Kingbridge Conference Center
Technically,
this book is fiction but the characters, situations
and learnings you can derive from this book are real and
valauble. Rich McLaughlin has given all of us something thats
fun to read and profitable. Its a winning combination.
