New Leader Acceleration

A half-day session to help leaders of new teams/departments accelerate the trust and candor with their new team. The leader invites the group to ask whatever questions are on their mind. He/she leaves the room and one of our facilitators collects the questions, brings the new leader back in and helps facilitate the discussion between the leader and the team.

Emerging Leaders Workshop

A two day action-learning workshop where new leaders learn a “servant- leader” approach to developing sustainable work cultures. Topics covered in this workshop include: emotional intelligence and being aware of your style, values and goals; framing a worthy challenge for your team; engaging others in improving systems and confronting unproductive behavior.

Meeting Facilitation Skills

A two day practice-heavy course where participants get multiple chances practicing leading meetings and getting feedback on how well they balance keeping a group on task and fully engaged. Other topics covered include: agenda setting, generating input, handling difficult attendees and tools for bringing things to effective closure.

Presentation Skills

A two day practice-heavy course where participants get multiple chances making short presentations. They are videotaped so they can see firsthand what’s effective and not effective and they get immediate feedback in class. Other topics include: designing your presentation, use of visuals, handling questions and how to tell a story when presenting.

Coaching Skills

A one day course where participants practice coaching skills around situ- ations such as: coaching someone in a new task, check-in chats to show caring without caretaking; and coaching to curb unproductive behavior. Showing empathy when listening without devolving into sympathy is also discussed.

Having Hard Conversations

A one day practice heavy course for people challenged with giving tough feedback to others. Participants are given some tools and language to help them deliver a tough message in a way that maintains a positive relationship. Attendees practice three cycles of delivering tough messages for three different situations/relationships.

Developing Resiliency

A one day “tune-up” workshop to help those going through proactively build up their adaptability and their focus. Attendees are taken through a number of tools and exercises which they can use in their Resilience plan which they develop and get coaching and feedback from a triad assigned in the session.
